"Deborah"
inspired by Peter Jackson's 'Heavenly Creatures'
We kiss.
The way her throat moves as she swallows.
Her eyes as they stare into mine.
Pale as the sky.
I see myself reflected.
Our hands are clasped.
Always.
Not daring to let go.
We are the only two in the whole world.
We exist and the universe exists only for us.
We kiss again.
She is so proud,
so confident,
so impudent - even in her kisses.
I smile against her lips.
Even if we went no further than this,
She is the dearest and fairest lover
of which one could dream.
But temptation draws us further -
a glimpse of bare shoulder promises more.
And promises are kept.
My hands are on her skin.
They belong nowhere else.
Dearest.
We exist together.
