The Embrace

	for Lazarus, an inspiration


i want to learn everything there is about you
i want to know the way you breathe
i want to feel the cold of your hands on my skin
as the embrace begins
	
i know that this can't be forever
i know this touch is just tonight
we inhabit this space together
this embrace holds us close
skin to skin

and i remember the strength of your arms
and the warmth of your breath
tingling my skin
hold me close for just a moment
let this embrace begin

if i could have this all over again
know the scent of your skin
and your smile
hold me close now and forever
i've let the embrace draw me in
